TACTILE NUMBERS

I made this DIY tactile numbers sometime back. Since then this has been one of the important activity in our learning through play journey.

I’ve used some cardboard (cutout into same sizes), nuts and some glue. Stuck the nuts on the cardboard in the shape of numbers, you can make shapes, alphabets, patterns whatever you want. Then used the coloured chick peas.

Chintu enjoys running his finger along the nuts and to trace the numbers. I personally feel this activity has helped him so much in number recognition. Also helps in developing some fine motor skills .
