HOW TO TALK SO LITTLE KIDS WILL LISTEN by Joanna Fabre & Julie King

When I was reading this book for the first time, I was surprised to know that this book was my solution with my toddler.

I did try some of the tools mentioned in the book, that I came across while reading and used them whenever necessary – the first very tool that I implemented was “Acknowledge Feeling with Art” (Tools for handling Emotions)- surprisingly it worked and the results were quite excellent – my son who was throwing tantrums calmed down and got along with my art.

It is a beautiful book that conveys some of the most important messages and tips to parents like us such as how to deal with emotions of our little people, tips based on replacing punishments, tools regarding praise that help the kid and not hinder their development, more and more. This book is an all-time go-to book for me when I feel the necessity and when I feel I am off-track – this book tells me what to do.

“A person’s a person, no matter how small!” – Horton the Elephant (Dr. Seuss)

It’s just like how we adults feel, it’s the same thing with kids- respect their emotions, understand and listen to their needs- the technique of “Problem Solving” (is to work out for a solution together) gives a solution that happens to last longer.

I suggest you to read to know what I mean, it has so much in it that you get a solution to almost all your queries about handling your growing toddler.
An accurate survival guide for parents with kids of age group 2-7.
